There is something comforting about daily vlogs – simple, quiet, insightful. Just like a podcast, you can have a vlog play in the background while you get on with other things. You can slip away from your own busy thoughts and step into their worlds for a moment.

#1 Lexie Lombard #2 Estee Lalonde #3 Jaden Edwards #4 Marla Catherine #5 Olivia Grace Herring #6 Luna Montana

Lexie Lombard

Lexie Lombard lives and basks in the sunshine of Los Angeles with her adorable foster dog Spoon. Unrelatable though that may sound, she manages to convey her thoughts in the most humanistic, raw and beautiful way possible. She occasionally touches on parental loss but delivers her thoughts from a miraculously optimistic viewpoint. Some vlogs are caveated as being “music free”, which feels like a thoughtful disclaimer for those who find loud and busy vlogs too overwhelming.

Estee Lalonde

A Canadian living in London (for over 10 years) – with a gorgeous mutt named Effie – who runs her own wellness brand, sounds dreamy right? It is! Her voice is calm and meditative. Her temperament is peaceful and honest. She often cuts right to the chase, discussing the highs and lows of her mental health. She prioritises looking after her mind and body, often going to interesting classes or appointments. She reminds me to make the most out of the classes available in London.

Jaden Edwards

Jaden Edwards has an unapproachable look, but the reality is the opposite. She is very real in her vlogs and, again, has a very calming vibe. She once lived in New York working in a chocolate-box bakery named L’Appartement (see her most popular vlog), but she now embraces the LA lifestyle. Slightly bohemian while still having that party-girl streak. I can’t help but adore Edwards with her realness, amazing style, humour and quirks.

Marla Catherine

Marla Catherine comes from a vlogging family (don’t run screaming!), but she has since separated herself with her own branding. She comes across as a chill, funny newlywed, dabbling in new hobbies from time to time and relaying her honest opinions along the way. She often makes study vlogs that feel very nostalgic, as well as classic 2016 style YouTube videos related to outfits and answering questions. Comforting is the key theme here.

Olivia Grace Herring

Turning up the tempo slightly with Olivia Grace Herring – her energy is infectious. She seems to lead a busy life with back-to-back events, parties and friend dates. Her energy is cheeky, bouncy and extroverted. However, she has mentioned her struggles with anxiety over the years; she is human, after all. Herring inspired me to make the most out of friend hangouts. She is another one who reminds me how much there is to do in London. She was born here, so she understands the places to be.

Luna Montana

Imagine a real life Angelina Ballerina. That’s Luna Montana. She speaks openly about the struggles she has faced with body image, particularly in the dance scene, which is refreshingly honest. She has a very playful girly energy about her – she embraces her femininity. It seems as if Montana’s whole life is baby-pink coloured and lined with lace. Her Scandinavian roots have blessed her with the most gorgeous mane of hair. Also, she has a rockstar boyfriend who takes her on tour… it’s all very fun.
